Pope's Prayer Intention for January

For human fraternity - We pray for all those suffering from religious discrimination  and persecution;  may their own rights and dignity be recognized, which originate from being brothers and sisters in the human family.

The Domestic Church

God has given the family the job of “domesticating” the world and helping each person to see fellow human beings as brothers and sisters. By their witness as well as their words, families speak to others of Jesus. The Eucharist summons us to open with the doors of family to greater fellowship with the underprivileged, and embrace everyone as mother, father, sister, brother.

Christmas Tidings to All Families

The covenant of love and fidelity lived by the Holy Family of Nazareth illuminates the principle which gives shape to every family. On this basis, every family, despite its weaknesses, can become a light in the darkness of the world. As we celebrate Jesus birth may we welcome him into our families today and every day.
